Meet the Team


We at Collider are excited about a few things 1) that we recognized a big gap in the mobile marketing arena and that we have a solution to fill this need 2) that we are lucky to have a team with such broad but extremely relevant experience that add to the energy and success of Collider's product offerings. Collider's team has deep domain expertise in mobile, advertising, data mining, data protection and advanced algorithms. Here is our line up:

Bryan Jones Co-founder and CEO

Bryan's mobile expertise includes mobile advertising and location-based services. His experiences provided him to understand the shortcomings in mobile advertising, which led to the creation of Collider Media.

Prior to joining Collider, Bryan was the CEO for Moximity, a location-based social network with an emphasis on local content. Bryan began his career as a mergers-and-acquisitions and corporate finance attorney with DLA Piper. During this time, Bryan transacted over $3 billion in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, venture investments and asset sales.

Jones has Engineering BS, MBA and JD, all from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a former swimming World and American Record Holder, and US National Champion, having competed at the World Championships and Goodwill Games for the United States. Jones is also a 21 time All-American for the University of Texas Men's Swimming and Diving, where he captained the 2000 NCAA Championship team.

Additionally, Bryan serves on the boards of PeopleFund, a community development loan fund that provides capital for low-income female and minority entrepreneurs and is pioneering new public-private partnerships in affordable housing and the Board of Directors for the United States Sports Insurance Company, a captive insurance company.

Brent Gaskamp President

Brent's mobile expertise spans mobile content creation, mobile advertising, and marketing. His in-depth understanding of the mobile ad network and publisher spaces have helped poise Collider Media as a bright spot in the mobile marketing and advertising community.

Prior to joining Collider, Brent was the US Senior Director of Business Development and Mobile Publisher for Yahoo! Mobile. At Yahoo he was responsible for developing strategic mobile partnerships with resellers, publishers, and advertisers. Brent and his team focused on integrating customer insights and advertiser needs to guide the development of Yahoo!'s mobile content properties, ad solutions, publisher partnerships, and reseller relationships.

Before Yahoo! Mobile, Brent was the Director of Business Development at Yahoo! responsible for OEM, Retail, and Emerging Channels for various Yahoo products and services including, Search, Communications/Social Networking, Mobile, Digital Home, Small Business, and Widgets.

Brent's technology career started at Dell Inc., where he focused on global consumer Internet partnerships. In addition, he held roles in consumer brand marketing, on-line sales, and product marketing.

Phil Miano VP Sales & Marketing

Phil Miano is Collider Media's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In his role Mr. Miano is responsible for bringing the Collider suite of advanced mobile advertising targeting products to market, helping advertising agencies, brands and mobile companies from around the world exceed their mobile marketing and research objectives.

Prior to joining Collider Media, Mr. Miano served as the National Sales Director of Mobile Advertising for AOL. In this role he lead the assimilation of Third Screen Media in to AOL and crafted the strategy for mobile advertising across the company. Prior to AOL, Mr. Miano was the first US mobile sales hire for Microsoft Advertising where he had previously been a member of the AdCenter paid search launch team. A digital advertising veteran, Mr. Miano has held previous management roles with Time Inc. New Media, PRIMEDIA and the hip-hop web portal 360hiphop which he co-founded with rap impresario Russell Simmons and which was acquired by BET.com in 2001.

Mr. Miano is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the US Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center.

Sean Glynn VP Merchant Services

Sean Glynn is Collider Media's Vice President of Merchant Services. In his role, Sean is responsible for working with Collider Media's customers to effectively engage consumer's on mobile devices. Sean's focus will be on helping customers understand their mobile consumers leveraging Mobile CRM and analyzing consumer response to mobile offers and coupons.

Prior to Collider Media, Sean spent 10 years in consumer and product marketing at Dell focused on brand management, pricing and promotion strategies and product management. Sean has also been awarded 3 patents.

Outside of Collider Media, Sean volunteers his time and is certified in Search and Rescue, an Emergency Medical Technician and certified his dog in Search and Rescue.

Dave Middleton Chief Architect

Dave comes to Collider Media from Trilogy/Versata as a Director of Engineering. He has 17 years of experience in software development and architecture. He has spent his career delivering highly-scaleable, mission critical solutions for Fortune 100 companies through the use of multi-shore development teams.

Middleton has delivered solutions to companies such as Ford, IBM, Sun, Nissan and AutoNation. His most recent accomplishments include being the lead architect on Ford's www.fordvehicles.com, Ford's consumer branding web site, www.dealerconnection.com, Ford's dealer based web site and Ford's Global Production Design tool for managing engineering and marketing availability rules.

Dave has developed patent-pending technology on data-mining, optimization and predictive modeling techniques that were used by Ford, Nissan and AutoNation for adjusting their vehicle manufacturing/ordering based on consumer demand and profitability.

Dave received his MS of Computer Sciences in 1992 from University of Texas at Austin and his BS of Computer Sciences from University of Delaware in 1991.

Maria Ocampo Business Development

For the past six years Maria has been immersed in mobile content development and advertising. She joins the Collider team having worked for Third Screen Media, considered one of the pioneers of mobile advertising (purchased by AOL) and Crisp Wireless that had over half of the mobile internet impressions at its publishers peak.

She has in-depth experience in mobilizing campaigns, web sites and applications for CNN, Time, Fandango, The Weather Channel, Reuters, Tribune, HBO, AE, Hearst, and Discovery. In addition to publishers, and has worked with all major US carriers. She is proud that each year at least one of her clients has won a Mobile Webby Award.

Maria's specialty is working in the fast paced field that is "Emerging Technology". Her passion in digital was lit at Grey Interactive. Her experience includes interactive advertising, web/mobile development and design, database technology to support major agencies and publisher content creation.

Maria graduated from Goucher College, with a BA in Communications and International Relations. She recently moved to Austin from New York City, and has become involved with several business community groups such as Bootstrap Austin, the Austin Ad Federation, and Mobile Monday's.

Chris Duncan Co-founder and Creative Director

Chris has sixteen years of graphic design and art direction experience from concept to delivery. He has led teams at top ad agencies and his creative has been used by Dell, Time Warner, CSC, Globeset, Marvel, and NetSolve among others.

An entrepreneur since 1998, when he founded his own successful design firm, chrisduncandesign, Chris is an award-winning designer with specific skills in project management, web design, marketing collateral, publication design/layout, and corporate identity development. His awards include Addys as well as Bronze and Silver from UCEA.

Duncan has a passion for the design implications of the mobile ecosystem, especially with respect to its location aware, social networking and crowd-sourcing dynamics.

Chris graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BFA in Graphic Design and attended the Film Production track at The University of Texas at Austin.
